Treatment

Our hospital is equipped to perform therapeutic services to care for your pet's complete health needs.

Surgery: We offer a broad range of surgical skills, laser surgeries, including de-clawing, and ophthalmic surgery, in our state-of-the-art surgical suite.

Anesthesia: Veterinary medicine has become increasingly sophisticated over the years. Veterinary surgeons are performing many of the same procedures in animals that are performed in people. Accordingly, veterinary anesthesia has developed and advanced to meet the needs of the surgeon and the patient.

Pharmacy: Our hospital maintains a broad inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, external parasite preventives, and heartworm preventives for your pet, as well as prescription compounding of medications.

Nutrition: If your pet has medical problems or if you are interested in a preventative nutritional plan, a good place to start is with a veterinarian who has a special interest in nutrition and supplements.

Dental: Your pet needs dental care - regular, professional care from your veterinarian, as well as care at home from you.

Blood Transfusions: "A number of animals who come in for emergency care at veterinary clinics wouldn't survive surgery or trauma unless blood was made available for them," says Kristi Stasi, veterinary technician at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital. "The process of collecting and transfusing blood is very similar in veterinary and human medicine."

Vaccines: Vaccines are health products that trigger protective immune responses in pets and prepare them to fight future infections from disease-causing agents. Vaccines can lessen the severity of future diseases and certain vaccines can prevent infection altogether. Today, a variety of vaccines are available for use by veterinarians.
