Livingston’s 94th annual roundup parade will be held virtually, and the Livingston Area Chamber of Commerce is requesting ideas for themes, as well as photos and videos for the parade, from the community.

Two videos will broadcast July 2, one on social media at the same time the parade is normally held and one at an improvised drive-in theater that evening, and will show pictures and footage from past parades, as well as personal narratives regarding past parades, according to a chamber news release.

The chamber is trying to fill a vacuum created by the cancellation of the physical parade and other area events cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic, chamber board member Patricia Grabow said Thursday.

“It’s a way of us still celebrating Livingston’s roundup parade in spite of the pandemic,” Grabow said.

Grabow said the idea came from the chamber board and CEO Leslie Feigel, and they’re going to tap into the possibilities of what’s allowed under reopening guidelines from Park County and the state of Montana.

“I know we’ll just pull together and have a great time,” Grabow said.

Photos, videos and ideas can be submitted to livingstonparade@gmail.com, and the chamber will be out in the community collecting ideas and media, the release said.
